این آهنگ یک ترانه اعتراضی است که همبستگی خود را با مردم غزه ابراز می‌کند و رنج ناشی از جنگ، اشغال و محاصره را برجسته می‌سازد. متن ترانه، تجاوز نظامی، به ویژه حملات اسرائیل به غزه را مورد انتقاد قرار می‌دهد و توجه را به بحران انسانی پیش روی غیرنظامیان، از جمله کودکان، جلب می‌کند. خواننده آن که به خاطر موسیقی فولک سیاسی‌اش شناخته می‌شود، از این آهنگ برای محکوم کردن جنایات جنگی و حمایت از عدالت، صلح و حقوق فلسطینیان استفاده می‌کند.
